Established by artist Sara Hubbs and her partner Joey Carbajal, Millville Studios opened its fully reimagined space in 2025.

Conceived as both a site of production and a platform for exchange, Millville advances an artist-centered model that prioritizes safety, functionality, and inspiration. By pairing thoughtfully designed studios with exhibitions and public programming, it expands visibility and opportunity for artists across Arizona.

Using the Roy G. Biv spectrum as a point of departure, architect Oscar Lopez of DesertWORKS Studio embedded color throughout the building in subtle, unexpected ways.

These moments emerge in the background—within infrastructure, behind walls, inside workspaces—quietly elevating the environments where artists spend the most time.

The result is a space that honors the full creative process, not just its final presentation.
